MBDC is honored to be spending time in Indonesia with the Ministry of Industry, the Government of Indonesia, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and representatives from private industry sharing information about Cradle to Cradle Design® and the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Products Program. Jay Bolus, MBDC President, and Howie Fendley, Director of Projects and Senior Chemist, are working with Indonesian officials to further educate and realize Cradle to Cradle Design approaches in the country.
“Indonesia implementing Cradle to Cradle Design throughout industries shows the widespread, global shift toward safe and circular products,” said Bolus. “They are setting a wonderful example for striving to do more good and making the world a better place.”
Three of our main focuses for the two-week tour include:
- The business case for Cradle to Cradle Certified™
- Cradle to Cradle Design Framework applied to the Indonesian textile industry
- Cradle to Cradle Design™ for the circular economy
During our visit to Indonesia, we are speaking with groups from both public and private sectors and across diverse industries. We are thrilled with the growing international excitement over Cradle to Cradle Design and its role in a safe, healthy and global circular economy.
