MBDC Co-founder William McDonough To Deliver Plenary Talk at GreenBiz’s Inaugural Circularity Conference

MBDC co-founder and globally recognized leader in sustainable design and development William McDonough will present Not Just Circular, But Safe at Circularity ’19, GreenBiz’s first Circular Economy-themed conference in Minneapolis. At 3:00 p.m. CDT McDonough will explain how products can be made with safer, healthier materials, then be designed for circularity, all while using clean energy and water and treating people with dignity.

Immediately following his presentation, McDonough will take the stage for Circularity Is In Our Jeans with leading European retailer C&A’s chief sustainability officer Jeffrey Hogue and Katrin Ley, managing director of Fashion for Good, an open-source initiative supporting the transformation of apparel culture toward a circular economy co-founded by McDonough. Together they will share insights about their collaboration which resulted in the first Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Gold denim jeans and how each pair is optimized for future use in a Cradle to Cradle Circular Economy.

Jay Bolus, MBDC President, will also be on the ground in Minneapolis to discuss the benefits and potential of the Cradle to Cradle Certified™ Products Program in a safe, then circular economy with leaders across sectors.
