William McDonough will announce a new design project at Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day. The April 18 event marks the 45th anniversary of Earth Day and will include musical performances by No Doubt, Usher, and Fall Out Boy. Organized by the Global Poverty Project and the Earth Day Network, the free event aims to drive commitments and action by governments, corporations, and individuals in combating issues of extreme poverty and climate change.
Held at the Washington Monument Grounds, McDonough will speak on the importance of eliminating the concept of waste and creating new uses for discarded materials for future generations, emphasizing a call-to-action to attendees.
