MBDC provides consulting services to WM+P and their clients, including building material specifications using the Cradle to Cradle framework.

Founded by Professor Dr. Michael Braungart in 1987 in Hamburg, Germany, the Environmental Protection and Encouragement Agency (EPEA) works with clients worldwide to apply the Cradle to Cradle methodology to the design of new processes, products and services. EPEA is licensed to work with clients to obtain Cradle to Cradle Certification. EPEA is located in Hamburg, Germany.

The Green Products Innovation Institute will begin to issue Cradle to Cradle Certification for products in the near future, with MBDC, Bill McDonough and Michael Braungart continuing to play important roles in enhancing the program moving forward. MBDC will continue to offer the service of assessing a product for certification and the draft assessment will be sent to the Institute for auditing and issuance.
